LJ Hooker is one of Australia's largest real estate groups. They recognised they were facing disruption as hybrid agencies and startups were offering low-cost models in the Australian real estate market. They engaged us to create a lower tier digital model to defend their existing business and increase market share of the significantly fragmented industry.


With a tight timeline of 3 1/2 months, we designed and built a new digital-led business model and platform introducing new services and pricing.



We built a complex, multi-party platform for sellers, buyers and agents that augmented the multi-channel process we had designed across responsive apps, stylist reports, listings, open homes, offers and sales.

Explore, collaborate, deliver

We used qualitative research methods to explore what buyers, sellers and agents really wanted from a hybrid real estate agency. This grew to include platform staff as well (customer service, photographers, stylists, marketing & conveyancers). We then designed, developed, and tested a series of prototypes with increasing levels of fidelity.
